We found these journals after Karl's arrest, and they showed us the kind of person she truly was.
She fooled him. She fooled us. Her mother threw her out, and we took her into our home. In ninety days she took his future and destroyed our home. Read on, you won't believe it. Note; none of these journals were allowed to be presented at Karl's trial. So the jury never knew her true character. The prosecutor painted her as an "All American Girl." |

And here is where her true colors show through... Jenilee was tried after Karl. His false confession to save her got him Life Without Parole. At Jenilee Sheppard's trial, the journals were used by the same prosecutor to stretch her conviction of aggravated robbery to 75 years. They were known to the prosecutor prior to Karl's trial, and kept out intentionally. |
